Merry month of MAY!

Wow, what a month we are having and will have! We started off the month with a wonderful field trip to the local park! The kids had a terrific time playing there, although the wind was pretty strong , it didn’t stop us from fun!!

We will be having 2 set field trips this month: to the Denver Zoo and the Children’s Museum. We will also have a possible park trip again. Forms are going to be send out in the backpacks.

Reminder that Learning Center’s last day is  FRIDAY MAY 28th.  There is no childcare provided after this date.  We will resume again August 2010. The information will be mailed out for enrollment for the fall of 2010-2011, if you are considering childcare make sure you sign up early!

~April News~

Hello! What a beauiful spring weather we are getting lately! The children are enjoying the warmer weather outside they have been taking advantage of our playground and riding the bikes too!

We are going to be taking some potentional field trips, so be on the lookout for permission forms in your child’s back pack.

The “Original Works” art work was send out and it’s due by April 14th. Please make sure you return these.  This is a fundraiser for the Learning Center. We hope you can help us!

We have been busy with the spring season with planting some Mother’s Day surprise for the next month. The kids have been excited to learn to take care of their projects in the classroom.

We also have some new centers we are working on: Dentist, Post Office, Ocean, Puppets (theatre) and  currently exploring the space center. This is a center the kids are working to build.

Happy March!!

This month we are still working on Community Helpers. We will be visiting some local community places to see their “jobs.” If  you know anyone willing to come in and discuss their job’s let me know! We would love to see any types of Community Helpers.  I will post pictures soon…

Have your child wear green on St. Patrick’s Day! We will celebrate in class with a special “green ” treat and “Leprechaun” surprise.  

 ***FYI- The Learning Center will be Closed March  29th to April 5th for Spring Break. 

February News for the Learning Center:

The Learning Center celebrate their valentine’s

Day party on Feb. 11th. It went very well the kids

enjoyed making homemade frosting to go with

sugar heart cookies.

We read a story called “Valentine Mice” and we also

made a picture of a mouse out of paper hearts.

We played a fun game in the common area with

the paper hearts by trying to catch a heart when

we were cued to.

The day was full of many games and fun

activities!

Thank you for one “mom” to help  for the

day!  This was very helpful.

The kids had a awesome day!

The kids came back from being off for

president’s day to a new theme for the

classroom. The new theme is

 ”Community Helpers!”

January News for the  Learning Center:

*New Learning Center Hours are now from 7:30am to 4:00. This goes in effect Jan. 4th 2010. Please make sure your child is picked up by 4pm.

Dear Families,

Yesterday we went to the National Western Stock show. The chidlren enjoyed seeing many different animals, they got to expiernce hands-on activities. They went to the petting zoo, the Ranchland which had different displays of animals used on the farms. They also watch a rodeo clown show. This was fun! The kids arrived back to school exhausted! Here are some pictures for you to enjoy.

Dear Families,

We are so THRILLED to show off the new clasroom. Here are some pictures from the first few days back to school. The kids absolutely love the new classroom setting!
