When considering Rocky Mountain Deaf School as a placment for your student, we recomend scheduling a visit to the school and meeting for an informal conversation with our director. You may schedule an appointment with the front desk by either calling 303-984-5749 (voice) or 720-235-0565 (video phone). Because Colorado is a Parent Choice State, your child has the legal right to attend Rocky Mountain Deaf School, and your School district is legally required to pay for the tuition. 
After you have visited RMDS and made the decision to enroll your student,
there a few more steps to complete:


1.Notify the school currently attending and the District

2.Complete the Enrollment Packet Give RMDS a copy of your child’s current IEP.

3.Give RMDS a copy of your child’s current IEP. Complete the Enrollment Packet.

4.RMDS will meet with you to review the IEP and decide whether to accept or revise the current IEP.  If needed schedule an IEP meeting will be scheduled within 30 days of enrollment.

2.Give RMDS a copy of your child’s current IEP.

3.Complete the Enrollment Packet and create a profile in Jeffco Connect.

4.RMDS or your district will schedule a transition meeting either prior to placement, or on your first day.

5.RMDS will schedule an IEP meeting within 30 days of enrollment.

When you are ready to enroll your student at RMDS,
you must create a student profile in Jeffco Connect.

Jeffco Connect is where you may keep all household information, contact information, and health information up-to-date. You may access you account at any time to keep info current. If you make a change, RMDS is automatically notified.
In addition to Jeffco Connect, please complete each of the following
forms and return them to RMDS.
